M Russell Ballard October 2015 BYU Devotional Talk Young Single Adults PDF, p.4, Saturday, October 24, 2015 “Where do you think the internet came from? Why did somebody invent the computer? I’ll tell you why: Because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints needed it. Why did we need it?
Because family history was moving and the Church was growing and the temples were expanding, and we needed more capacity to do family history. That’s why I believe the computer came into existence.” — M. Russell Ballard

Ephesians 4:14 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive”.

Jeremiah 23:26-27 “How long shall this be in the heart of the prophets that prophesy lies? yea, they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart. 27 Which think to cause my people to forget my name by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my name for Baal.”

Oh, dear. Mr. Ballard’s talk was full of lies!
It’s rather arrogant to say the internet and computer was invented for their church.
We’re thinking he should’ve Googled the info before he decided to fill the heads of those young men with his fabrications.
Although his talk took place over a decade ago, those kids who listened to it will remember as well as anyone else they shared it with.
Pray for them, won’t you? Also pray for all members of the Church to question what their leaders say!
With Love in Christ —
