‘Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.’ Matthew 24:35

Journal of Discourses 26:115-116 “The Scriptures give an account simply of the woman Eve; declaring that this name was given her of Adam, because she was “the mother of all living;” but outside of biblical record there has been handed down from time immemorial the idea that Adam had two wives, the narrators go so far, or rather so near perfecting the tradition so as to give their names, Lilith being said to be the name of one as Eve was the name of the other, and while it may be difficult to harmonize all the Rabbinical and Talmudic versions of this matter, it is said that Joseph Smith the Prophet taught that Adam had two wives.” — H. W. Naisbitt, delivered in the Tabernacle, Salt Lake City, Sunday Afternoon, March 8, 1885. (more…)

Answers to Gospel Questions 3:207 “Question: “Why did Christ have to shed his blood in the atonement to relieve us of the responsibility of the fall?”

Answer: The reason that the blood of Christ had to be shed is because Adam was without blood before the fall. The blood came into his body afterwards. Therefore, it was necessary that the blood which came by the fall should be shed in the atonement.” – Joseph Fielding Smith

The Joseph Smith Revelations “#22. The text in the journal says that Smith also saw Michael in this vision. Prior to this time, it was taught that Michael was another name for Adam. Oliver Cowdery wrote in a letter in January 1834, “I have been in formed from a proper source that the Angel Michael is no less than our father Adam” (Cowdery to John Whitmer, 1 Jan. 1834, Oliver Cowdery Letterbook, 15, Henry E. Huntington Library, San Marino, California).” — by H. Michael Marquardt (more…)

October 29 –– He would ascend into heaven. Dan. 7:13-14a; “I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. 14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom…”

Acts 1:9-11; “And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” (more…)

July 23 – Exodus 20:3-17; “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.  Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:  Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;  And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.  Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.  Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.  Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:  For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.  Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery.  Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.” (more…)

Genesis 2:8 “And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.”

A few weeks ago, the LDS Church hosted a history and doctrine symposium on three salt lake mormon temple 2revelations Joseph Smith supposedly received in early Mormonism. For the sake of brevity, we’re looking at just a couple of things Alexander Baugh said during his presentation. If you’d like to read their entire article, and/or watch the video, see History and Doctrine of the Adam-ondi-Ahman Revelation Subject of Symposium Presentation.

Joseph Smith False Prophecies 3Today we’re looking at some of Joseph Smith’s contradictory prophecies he made during his tenure as prophet which includes the Mormon Canon, and Temple Ceremony contradictions.

In Mormon scriptures, the Church says yes, Adam and Michael are the same personages. In fact, they went so far as to publish and canonize Smith’s revelation about it!

Their website shows Smith received a revelation in Harmony, PA, in August 1830.

D&C 27:11; “And also with Michael, or Adam, the father of all, the prince of all, the ancient of days.”

Nanshe 1The Women of Mormondom, pp. 198-199; “The fall is simple. Our immortal parents came down to fall…came down to give birth to mortal tabernacles for a world of spirits. … Eve, then, came down to be the Mother of a world…capable of dying at the very beginning to give life to her offspring, that through mortality the eternal life of the Gods might be given … She was…The first person in the trinity of Mothers.”

Joshua 23:6-8; “Be ye therefore very courageous to keep and to do all that is written in the book of the law of Moses, that ye turn not aside therefrom to the right hand or to the left; 7 That ye come not among these nations, these that remain among you; neither make mention of the name of their gods, nor cause to swear by them, neither serve them, nor bow yourselves unto them: 8 But cleave unto the LORD your God, as ye have done unto this day.”

January2January 12 – Ancient of Days. There are some names and phrases in the Bible that catches our immediate attention and Ancient of Days qualifies. The words bring a sense of reverence commanding our attention, doesn’t it? The passage in Daniel paints a picture like none other does; the flaming throne is judgment, and the white hair and title ‘Ancient’ denotes God who has existed before time began (Is 43:10). It puts it all in perspective for us eh? It puts us in a position of knowing who’s in charge! Sadly, it’s anything but in Mormonism. They’ve gone out of their way to malign the Lord and twist scripture in ways unheard of before.

Mormon Decisions 10Today we’re taking a look at the importance of who Adam is in Mormonism. Their blasphemy  leaves us wondering how anyone wouldn’t be confused…

How is it logical that Adam could fill all the roles they’ve taught?

As we praise God for our freedom here in America, we also pray that Mormons will listen to the One and Only True God, that being Christ Jesus who gives us true freedom!
