February 7 – Jesus promised us God’s Spirit would be in us. John 14:17 says; “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you”.

John 14:23 “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”
On January 19, 2017, an image on the front page of the LDS website caught my attention. For whatever reasons, they’ve been carrying not a few stories as of late, with a corresponding image that looks odd, for the lack of a better word.
The images seem like they’re trying to create an ethereal portrayal of Jesus, and/or God. This time around, it was Jesus.
The article that went along with the image above is our focus today. We’re pulled a few of the comments from Mr. Kim Clark’s General Conference speech to compare them with the Bible, and ask a question or two. Here we go!
To read the article in full see Ensign, ‘Eyes to See and Ears to Hear,’ General Conference, October 2015.

John 14:15; “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
Teachings of Heber J. Grant, Chapter 3, Walking in the Path That Leads to Life Eternal, p. 32; “There is but one path of safety for the Latter-day Saints, and that is the path of duty. It is not a testimony only; it is not marvelous manifestations; it is not knowing that the gospel of Jesus Christ is true, that it is the plan of salvation—it is not actually knowing that the Savior is the Redeemer, and that Joseph Smith was his prophet, that will save you and me; but it is the keeping of the commandments of God, living the life of a Latter-day Saint.”
A Mormon Child’s Guide “Back” to Heavenly Father

In the upcoming July issue of (the) Friend, a magazine especially written for Mormon children, there’s a game designed to help them learn all they must do to return back to Heavenly Father.
Many of you may be wondering, how they are going to return “back” to God? Well, according to Mormon doctrine all of us lived in a place called the pre-existence. We lived there as spirit children of Heavenly Father before we came to earth, and attained physical bodies. And if we do all we can do, based on Mormon teachings, we can return to Heavenly Father’s presence.
