Today we’re comparing the teachings in the Young Women Manual to what God says in His word! Although the Church rewrote their manuals, they’re still holding tight to their past behavior of not telling the truth.

One of the eight lesson topics in this book (Virtue) is so bad it needs to be exposed for the lie it is. Besides integrating temple endowment vocab into their manual, they also included the ungodly belief God’s greatest power is sex.

Each topic in their manual has specific assignments/projects to complete that can be worked through at the member’s own discretion, and in the order they choose.

The manual’s overview stated that projects/lessons are designed to help prepare them for their future lives as temple worthy married women, with families of their own. It also teaches them how to ‘return and report’ to their leaders of any progress they’ve made. Not only did it remind us of the Scouting Program, the same vocabulary used in their temple endowment ceremonies.

No doubt you noticed it said nothing on how to study the Bible, or learning more about Jesus…

Now for the topic at hand! Here’s what they had to say about the importance of Virtue(more…)

Today and tomorrow we’re taking a look at some of the egregious lies the Church has passed off as truth to the most vulnerable: the kids.

Today we’re looking at what used to be part of the lesson plan in the LDS Young Women’s Manual. This isn’t something taught a century ago, rather, this is from just 2-3 yrs ago. The young girls subjected to these lies are either still in the system, or they’ve started families of their own by now. We posted an article on the first part of this lesson in 2012.

Please, pray for those who had to listen to this, and believed the outrageous lies! (more…)

While their stories are heart-wrenching, they’re not unique. Unfortunately they’re two of the hundreds of stories that can be told about Utah Mormonism.

women-and-mormonism-2 Today we’re giving an update about our website and blog! Because of the number of articles concerning the topic of women, we’ve rearranged several of them and they’re now housed in one easily accessible page. Yay!

We’ve listed all the references below, and you can access it for later use at Women and Mormonism.

We pray that it’s understood we don’t do this to be sensationalistic, Mormonism doesn’t need the competition, and honestly, we’re not here to provide that. Rather, we hope it’s used to inform Mormons so they may think about the god they’re worshiping, and for Christians to utilize as a witnessing tool.

Women Need Their Husbands to be saved?

Before making my mind up to officially leave the Mormon Church for good I committed much of my time investigating many of the old concerns or a question I had about the Church’s doctrine in the past.  I Googled every tidbit of Mormonism that left a bad taste in my mouth, or a lingering question in my mind. Some of the resources I read were as the Mormons would say “anti-Mormon”, and others were from official Mormon publications, but the most damning information about the Church’s doctrine came from the Bible.
