Witnessing Tip of the Day June 13

June 13 – Joseph Smith’s False Prophecy. Acts 20:28-30; “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood. 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”

It seems Paul’s warning could have been written to those of us living in the 21^st century! Ask the Mormon in your life why the Mormon god would’ve given these promises to the ‘Jaredite’ people if they were only going to die out. The Church teaches their god is omniscient, so it only stands to reason he should’ve known about this. No great nation arose from these people (if they really existed), and they certainly didn’t attain the heights of great nations in the annals of history. In fact, no one outside of the Mormon Church has ever heard of them.

Ether 1:43; “And there will I bless thee and thy seed, and raise up unto me of thy seed, and of the seed of thy brother, and they who shall go with thee, a great nation. And there shall be none greater than the nation which I will raise up unto me of thy seed, upon all the face of the earth. And thus I will do unto thee because this long time ye have cried unto me.”
