The Unknown gods of Mormon Temple Worship

Church News, ‘Temple Worship is an Important Pattern for Each of You to Set,’ February 10, 2009; “Years ago, at the Logan Temple Cornerstone Ceremony in 1877, President George Q. Cannon said this: “Every foundation stone that is laid for a temple and every temple completed, lessens the power of Satan on the earth, and increases the power of God and Godliness, moves the heavens in mighty power in our behalf, invokes and calls down upon us the blessings of eternal Gods and those who reside in their presence” (Millennial Star, Volume 39, No. 46, November 12, 1877, p. 743).

Certainly in a day and time like we live in, the importance of every temple built and dedicated to the Lord cannot be overstated…” – Ronald A. Rasband

1 Timothy 1:16; “Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.”

The only  pattern man should fashion his life after is that of Christ Jesus and Him crucified. It’s nice when we’re blessed with mighty warriors like Paul that we can look to for reminders we should emulate the Lord. However, just as Paul said, the best pattern we have is exclusively the Lord.

Mormon ‘temple worship’ is nothing more than showing proof you’re obedient to man and ponied up your 10% to get in the doors of their temples. The real problem in Mr. Rasband’s comment is found in his pattern of following past Mormon leaders.

Mr. Cannon made some serious mistakes in his speech so let’s take a quick look at what those are!

‘Every foundation stone that is laid for a temple and every temple completed, lessens the power of Satan on the earth…’

This is obviously a lie! Satan’s power is still going strong. In fact, there’s even more evil in the world today than when Mr. Cannon proclaimed this in 1877!

Mr. Cannon went on to say…

‘[Every foundation stone that is laid for a temple…] increases the power of God and Godliness, moves the heavens in mighty power in our behalf…’

Where’s the evidence heaven’s been moved with the 150 Mormon temples that are in operation today?

It doesn’t look as if people are more godly. No less than 8 police officers have been murdered in broad daylight in the past week. The presence of more temples didn’t prevent that tragedy from happening.

The last statement of Mr. Cannon that Rasband pointed out should be a huge red flag to everyone! The following comment proves beyond a shadow of a doubt Mormons are polytheists.

‘[Every foundation stone that is laid for a temple…] invokes and calls down upon us the blessings of eternal Gods and those who reside in their presence…’

Blessings of the eternal gods? This is blatant heresy! It reminds me of the time Rachel stole her father’s idol gods and put them in their caravan before leaving with Jacob. Genesis 31:34. She knowingly stole from her father, went behind the back of her husband, and defiantly told God she ‘needed’ other gods.

In like manner, the Mormons loudly proclaim they’re Christians, and in the hidden chambers of BYU when the Christian community at large isn’t listening or watching, they proudly brag about some unnamed eternal gods that are watching over them. ???? Really?

The eternal gods?

And this is the pattern they want Mormons to follow. It’s very sad.

Please, don’t forget to pray for these people!
