Adam was the Lord’s prophet-leader over the earth for his own day, but he also stands as earth’s presiding high priest, the man who, under Christ, holds the keys of authority for the blessing of mankind and the perpetuation of righteousness in the earth…” – Robert Millet
Jude 1:14; “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.”
Once again, we see another false teaching of the Church.
Amongst all the prophecies one can find in the Bible, we read how Enoch was the first to do so even though it’s not recorded until almost the end of the Bible in Jude.
How could Adam prophesy about Jesus before Enoch, who was the 7th generation after Adam prophesied? Enoch, Noah’s great-grandfather, was a descendant of Seth, who was the third son of Adam. As one can easily see, Enoch’s prophecy gave no details about Jesus outside of calling Him ‘the Lord’.
Besides all that, Jesus is the ‘Ancient of Days’ that we read about in Daniel, and the word ‘Christ’ is Greek, not Hebrew. This indicates they wouldn’t have been using that term in the days of Daniel, much less Adam.
Lastly, Adam does not hold the keys of salvation, he wasn’t a high priest, nor was he a prophet.
