Witnessing Tip January 29

January 29 – Mormon god not omnipresent. Discourses of Brigham Young, p. 36; “Some would have us believe that God is present everywhere. It is not so. He is no more everywhere present in person than the Father and Son are one in person.”

_____

The dictionary defines the word ‘omnipresence’ as ‘in all ways or places’. Strong’s Concordance tells us the transliteration for presence is ‘rûaḥ’. It means God’s spirit, or breath. Share your experience of how God has always been there for you no matter the time, or place. If God can’t be omnipresent, then why waste time worshiping this god?

The whole reason someone worships God is so they can rely on something outside of themselves for strength, peace, and direction. If there’s a chance a god like that wouldn’t be available then why place your trust in him?
