Rejected … 30 pieces of silver was the price owed for remuneration for the death of a slave (Exodus 21:32) – obviously the leadership didn’t think Jesus’ life was worth anymore than someone beneath themselves. What they refused to accept is how the Righteous King would give His life in lieu of anyone, including a slave.
Somehow Mormons have positioned themselves into the same mindset as the Pharisees. Money, power, and prestige, takes precedence over all else. Consumed with the ideology of outward appearances, their god has tricked them into believing the whited sepulcher is more important than following the One that owned nothing could give them everything.
