Genesis 41:45; “And Pharaoh called Joseph’s name Zaphnathpaaneah; and he gave him to wife Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On. And Joseph went out over all the land of Egypt.”
Oops.
That was a mistake on the part of the Church, was it not?
According to historical records, and what the Bible states, we have here another reason why Smith wasn’t eligible to hold the priesthood. Even by their own fabricated measure, Smith was disqualified. How much more proof does one need?
Moreover, there’s news along these same lines that goes from bad to worse. Consider the fact Mormons everywhere receive their patriarchal blessings, and more times than not, told they came from the tribe of Ephraim.
Ephraim was one of Joseph’s sons, and his tribe was totally wiped out, becoming totally nonexistent. You can read about it in Obadiah 1:1-21.
Ask your Mormon friend/relative what they think of this, and be sure to let them know you’re praying for them!
