Matthew 24:11 “And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
One has to wonder what these men were thinking with Smith’s prolific lies.
Four months earlier on July 11, 1843, he prophesied there would be no salvation without polygamy. For more info, see Polygamy Denials.
And last but certainly not least, Smith had 42+ wives at the time he made this ungodly threat.
Ask the Mormon you know what they think of this scenario, and be sure to compare it with truth from the Bible! If this were truly from the Lord, why were people being charged with fornication in a church court, and why did Smith lie about all of it?
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
