Journal of Wilford Woodruff, November 25, 1843, p. 204 “On this day in Mormon History — 175 years ago today – Nov 25, 1843 — [Wilford Woodruff] … I found the High Council sitting on a case of Harrison Sagers for some improper Conduct or offer towards some female. … President Joseph Smith … [said] That the Church had not received any license from him to commit adultery fornication or any such thing but to the contrary if any man Commit adultery He Could not receive the Ceslestial [sic] kingdom of God.
