Tip of the Day November 20 — Whose Stamp of Approval do You Have?

November 20 — Whose Stamp of Approval do You Have?  Haggai 2:23; “In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee as a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts.”

Luke 3:23-27; “And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli, 24 Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph, 25 Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge, 26 Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda, 27 Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri,”

Descendant of Zerubbabel… make Thee as a signet…

You know, members of the Church honestly believe Joseph Smith was related to Jesus. They believe everything Smith prophesied 180+ years ago, and even today they don’t question his wildly outrageous claims. Ask your Mormon friends/loved ones if Smith could prove he was a descendant of all the names listed in Luke’s gospel. Did Smith ever mention any of these people, or did he just lay claim to Jesus? The lineage topic was HUGE in ancient Israel as it signified who you were, what you’d do in life, and what privileges were granted to you by virtue of the tribe you belonged to.

“Jesus Was Married”, p. 94; “Since Joseph Smith did hold the keys of the kingdom in the last days, (D&C 65:2, 115:19) and was the “Rod” from the loins of the Stem of Jesse, he would have the blood of Abraham, Jesse, and the Savior, according to the testimony of scripture and revelation.  It would be evident that Joseph Smith should also know these facts.  The Prophet did understand them—and more—but he was reluctant to tell them because of the traditions and ideologies of modern Christianity.” – Ogden Kraut
