1 Timothy 4:7 “But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness.”
Sorry about the play on words, but it seemed rather appropriate in the backdrop of the latest fad, ‘Elf on the Shelf’. While looking for a reference on another topic, references for the unknown white Lamanite soldier, Zelph, kept making an appearance. Thus our look at this topic today!
Our question today is quite simple.
Do Mormons today truly believe that God revealed the identity of the bones he and others stumbled upon in 1834? For more info on this, see Zelph the White Lamanite.
Why don’t we hear more about Zelph in the Church’s talks? Aside from an occasion mention, he gets little to no attention. It seems this should take a bigger role if those in attendance at the time stopped to mention it, and thank God for his revealing the info to Smith.
On the flip side of that when/if you Google Zelph, you’ll get a plethora of sites with ‘Zelph on the shelf’ memes.
This is yet another proof of Smith’s elaborate lies. How sad for those who believed him, then, and now. Be sure to pray!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
