Journal of Discourses 7:289 “…no man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith. From the day that the Priesthood was taken from the earth to the winding-up scene of all things, every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are—I with you and you with me. I cannot go there without his consent. He holds the keys of that kingdom for the last dispensation—the keys to rule in the spirit-world; and he rules there triumphantly…” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, October 9, 1859

2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 “And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.”
2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
While thumbing through my 3-in-1, I came upon the reference in 2nd Nephi listed above. Ironically, we had just made reference to Brigham’s lecture not long ago, thus our look at this today.
If the Mormon god doesn’t ‘employ any other’ at heaven’s gate, why did Brigham say otherwise? Furthermore, why would other LDS doctrines mandate obedience to their latest prophet for salvation, if the ‘fulness of the gospel’ is found in the Book of Mormon? Which prophet would you believe?
Lastly beloved, what about the things our Lord told us in 2nd Corinthians? Submitting to the Lord would eradicate any confusion about who’s minding heaven’s gate.
Pray for those who buy into the lies, and confusion!
With Love in Christ;
Michelle
