Heaven’s Gatekeeper
Journal of Discourses 7:289 “…no man or woman in this dispensation will ever enter into the celestial kingdom of God without the consent of Joseph Smith. From the day that the Priesthood was taken from the earth to the winding-up scene of all things, every man and woman must have the certificate of Joseph Smith, junior, as a passport to their entrance into the mansion where God and Christ are—I with you and you with me. I cannot go there without his consent. He holds the keys of that kingdom for the last dispensation—the keys to rule in the spirit-world; and he rules there triumphantly…” – Brigham Young, Salt Lake City, October 9, 1859
2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
Nowhere in the bible does it say anything about Joseph being the gatekeeper. This is what happens when the leader of your church condemns the Bible and convinces his followers to do the same.
Why even have a Bible in your home if you aren’t going to follow its precepts?
What about John 14:6; “I am the way the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me”? Is that corrupted as well?
One more thing about this – Joseph Smith most certainly DOES NOT rule in the “spirit world”.
If they’re referring to heaven then why wouldn’t it be Jesus who is the King?
If they’re talking about the spirit world of demons, well, that job is taken by Satan.
