May 6 — Peace Comes Through the Cross. Colossians 1:20 “And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.”

Are you totally at peace with Jesus? True peace can only be obtained by knowing He spilt His blood for you on the cross at Calvary.
It’s not found in a temple, nor will you find it by remembering the words of a secret promise.
When you fully accept salvation is dependent upon what He’s done, then you can say He’s your Lord.
With recent worldly events like Covid-19, Mormons have had to backtrack on previous teachings that temple attendance is the only way to have peace with God.
If you’re relying on something you said, Jesus doesn’t qualify as your Lord — He’s merely a tagline at the end of a prayer.

General Conference, ‘Go Forward in Faith,’ April 2020 “During times of our distress when temples are closed, you can still draw upon the power of your temple covenants and endowment as you honor your covenants.” — Russell M. Nelson

Oh, Russell…blah, blah, blah. In the beginning of covid-19, our pastor filmed/taped (not sure what to call it) a sermon at church live or we could watch it later, online. I asked my mormon daughter during this same time, what they did since the Bishop never preaches. They listened to old General Authority talks. You do what you have to do, I suppose.
Yeah, that’s a sad state of affairs when you tell people they have to be in a certain building to gain access to God’s presence. Making matters worse is when the ‘leader’ of congregation doesn’t do what God intended by having a pastor do sermons. Sigh…
Another example that he was lying is what happened with my church. that I forgot about when I wrote the post. It was just like what happened with your church as well.
Several months before COVID hit the Lord put it on my pastor’s heart to start live streaming worship services. After talking to the staff they arranged to make everything happen and it was a great blessing!
