LDS Must Prove Worthiness for Salvation

General Conference, ‘Turn to the Lord’, October 2017 “A fundamental belief of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that God has a plan for each one of His children. God created this earth so you could come here, experience the trials of life, and prove that you’re worthy of spending eternity with God in heaven.” — W. Christopher Waddell

Galatians 2:21 “I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.”

Isaiah 64:6 tells us that our works as are filthy rags, so how could we ever believe we could prove our worthiness to a holy, righteous God?

The Bible is the story of God’s interaction with mankind, whom He created. The only way we can come into His presence is through the redeeming blood of His Son whom He gave as a sacrifice to atone for our sinful behavior.

Believing anything outside of that simple picture, takes us outside of God’s will for man. This man’s message is what the general population thinks about God. If you’re a good person, you go to heaven, but it’s very wrong! This type of theology doesn’t exist in the Bible.

Share the truth with a Mormon you know, and as always, let them know you’re praying for them!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
