Book of Mormon Contradictions and Confusion

 July 7 –– Contradictions & Confusion. Jeremiah 14:14 “Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart”.

Christ started His church by telling Peter ‘upon this rock I build my church’. Matt. 16:18.  However, here in the book of Mosiah in 145 BC, the prophet Joseph Smith claims the church was started by Alma. Two other items of interest would include the church having a high priest. Hebrews chapters 9 & 10 say that Jesus is the only high priest. Also, church is a Greek word, so why is it being used in the times of the Old Testament?
