Why Mormons Shouldn’t Trust Russell Nelson’s Lies

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” Romans 1:16

Liahona, ‘Grow into the Principle of Revelation’, January 2021 “When we couple increased purity and obedience with fasting, diligent seeking, study of the scriptures and the words of living prophets, and temple and family history work, the heavens will open. The Lord, in turn, will fulfill His promise: “I will impart unto you of my Spirit, which shall enlighten your mind” (Doctrine and Covenants 11:13).

We may need to be patient, but God will speak to us in His own way and in His own time. … May we put our faith into action, calling upon Him, living worthy of His promised inspiration…” —— Russell Nelson

Psalms 127:1 “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.”

John 17:17 “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”

Hebrews 1:1-2 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”.

There are a number of reasons why Mormons shouldn’t trust their prophet – the 3 verses listed above are just the beginning of why. The rest of the Bible also serves as a great example.

A laundry list of reasons not to trust Mr. Nelson is listed below and can be found in the Liahona article noted above.

For the sake of brevity, we have just one question …

Where does it say those in biblical times had to fulfill all of Nelson’s requirements before God would speak to them?

Jeremiah, King David, and Moses are just a few people that come to mind. None of those men were living up to Nelson’s standard and God used them to reveal His message for at least 4,000 years!

Since this topic is such a major focus for church leaders right now, be sure to share the truth with a Mormon you know!

Mr. Nelson’s list of requirements is nowhere to be found in God’s word!

spend time in the presence of God

put faith into action

act on guidance ‘we receive’

call on Him
