Well, here we see that God is clear and plain about other gods. Before Him there were no gods, after him there will be no other gods, and beside him there are no other gods. Mormons seem to think that just because they don’t worship other people who they think have achieved godhood status, they’re not polytheists…not true!
Believing you can become a god implies you believe other gods exist – this makes you a polytheist.
