Joe Smith’s Evil Source of Power

June 10 — Joe Smith’s Evil Source of Power. James 3:11-12 “Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12 Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.”

In James 3:1-12 we read the warning that not everyone should teach. The reason why is because of the tongue’s destructive nature. One careless strike of a match can set an entire forest ablaze, just as a careless word can emit untold blasphemies.

Such is the case we see in Joe Smith’s teachings today. In no way, shape, or form, did God ‘ordain the fall of man’. This tragedy was the cause of man giving way to lust.

The source of information Joe Smith used to lead people away from the Lord came from Satan, not God. Please, share this truth with a Mormon you know!

Encyclopedia of Joseph Smith’s Teachings, p. 54 “Atonement. [God] foreordained the fall of man; but all merciful as He is, He foreordained at the same time, a plan of redemption for all mankind. I believe in the Divinity of Jesus Christ, and that He died for the sins of all men, who in Adam had fallen.” – edited by Larry E. Dahl and Donald Q. Cannon [Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1997]”
