Matthew 12:50 “For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.”
Doing ‘works’ for God, and actually believing in the One whom God sent, are totally different from each other. People can work themselves do death believing they’re a good person, and it’ll open the pearly gates for them. As many of us know all too well, they couldn’t be more wrong.
The stark reality of this prophecy, and its subsequent fulfillment has always given me pause. Mormons have gone out of their way declaring they don’t believe in the Jesus of Christianity.
One LDS leader after another has taken their place at the pulpit, proclaiming the Jesus they worship isn’t the Jesus of traditional Christianity, nor is he the Jesus of the Bible. Oh, be still my heart!
Be sure to ask a Mormon for their opinion about this, and also what they think of Mr. Hinckley’s statement below.
