Mormonism Sews Seeds of Doubt

April 30 — Mormonism Sews Seeds of Doubt. 1 Chronicles 16:23-26; “Sing unto the LORD, all the earth; shew forth from day to day his salvation. 24 Declare his glory among the heathen; his marvellous works among all nations. 25 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised: he also is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the people are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.”

What Christian doesn’t love Christmas?

What Christian prefaces their love of the holiday by throwing doubt into a cauldron of lies about the actual day of our Savior’s birth?

What Christian labels Christmas with the title of ‘apostasy’?

What Christian labels an article about Christmas with adjectives not supportive of our Lord, or the special observances paid at His birth?

The answer to all these questions is of course, Mormonism. Instead of worshiping, or praising God for giving us His Son, we hear seeds of doubt being sewn into the minds of their members. Pray it falls on shallow ground!

Mormon Doctrine, p. 96; “Christmas (Christmas ) See APOSTASY, CHRIST, EASTER, EPIPHANY. Modern day Christians celebrate December 25th as an annual church festival and as the traditional day of our Lord’s mortal birth. Special gifts and greetings are common, and both Christmas itself and the whole yuletide season often take on an air of commercialism and worldliness. Apparently Christ was born on the day corresponding to April 6 (D. & C. 20:1), but the saints nevertheless join in the wholesome portions of the Christmas celebration. Christmas becomes to them an ideal opportunity to renew their search for the true Spirit of Christ and to center their attentions again on the true doctrine of his birth as the son of an Immortal Father, a fact that enabled him to work out the infinite and eternal atonement.” – Bruce McConkie (p. # is exclusive to online version only.)
