Jesus Became Perfect When Resurrected

February 14 — Jesus Became Perfect When Resurrected. General Conference, ‘Perfection Pending’, October 1985 “That Jesus attained eternal perfection following his resurrection is confirmed in the Book of Mormon. It records the visit of the resurrected Lord to the people of ancient America. There he repeated the important injunction previously cited [to be perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect], but with one very significant addition. He said, “I would that ye should be perfect even as I, or your Father who is in heaven is perfect.” This time he listed himself along with his Father as a perfected personage. Previously, he had not. Resurrection is requisite for eternal perfection. . . . Eternal perfection is reserved for those who overcome all things and inherit the fulness of the Father in his heavenly mansions. Perfection consists in gaining eternal life – the kind of life that God lives.” — Russell Nelson

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Ephesians 2:10 “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

If Mr. Nelson’s words were true, the entire Bible needs to be tossed. There’s nothing he said that can be backed up with what the Lord has revealed.

Jesus didn’t need to be resurrected to become perfect. Everything in the NT shows this!

Nelson’s theory came from a book that’s been proven false and as I stated earlier this week, they seem to make things up as they go along.

He’s doing everything he can to diminish the Lord.

Remember to show a Mormon that comments from Nelson and others need demonstrative evidence these things actually took place.

With Love in Christ –
