Joseph Smith Completed Jesus’ Gospel

February 23 — Joseph Smith Completed Jesus’ Gospel. Liahona, ‘Joseph Smith—Prophet of the Restoration’, November 2009 “In many ways the gospel of Jesus Christ is like a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle. When Joseph Smith came on the scene, perhaps 100 pieces were in place. Then Joseph Smith came along and put many of the other 900 pieces in place so that people could say, ‘Oh, now I understand where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going.’ As for Joseph Smith’s role in the Restoration, the Lord defined it clearly: ‘This generation shall have my word through you’ (D&C 5:10).” — Tad R. Mark 1:14-15 “Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

And then Joseph Smith came along… The imagery is rich is it not?

I’ve never read the Bible and wondered what might be missing. Nor have I seen anything in the Bible hinting that we must wait on Joe Smith’s arrival to get the whole gospel.

His word said the time was fulfilled. Furthermore, Jesus’ last words were more than sufficient when He said ‘It is Finished’ – John 19:30.

Oh, please share with a Mormon how and why there was no need for a restoration and let them know you’re praying for them!

With Love in Christ –
