There is absolutely no way anyone could live up to the standard Joe Smith proclaimed. This is one of the ways this church controls its members along with their incessant talks of needing to repent.
The Lord would never lay guilt trips on us and His encouragement is seen in Matthew 11:30.
“For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
As you can see, His word tells us that when we repent He is always ready to forgive us of our sins as it says in 1 John 1:9.
Furthermore, the Lord tells us that when He does forgive us He removes our sin from us as it says in Psalm 103:12
“As far as the east is from the west, [so] far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”
Lastly beloved, God said that when He forgives us He no longer remembers the sin so how could our former sins return when God Himself doesn’t remember them?
Jeremiah 31:34 “And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”
Shame on Joseph Smith and the rest of the Church for promoting such lies!
Please share with a Mormon how the Lord always forgives us and doesn’t operate in the manner the Church claims.
