September 10 — Doctrine and Covenants 132:46 “And verily, verily, I say unto you, that whatsoever you seal on earth shall be sealed in heaven; and whatsoever you bind on earth, in my name and by my word, saith the Lord, it shall be eternally bound in the heavens; and whosesoever sins you remit on earth shall be remitted eternally in the heavens; and whosesoever sins you retain on earth shall be retained in heaven.”

While Smith’s vocabulary kind of sounds biblical we need to look at all things in context. Just 3 verses later he claims that God told him he had prepared a throne in heaven for Mr. Smith!
Doctrine and Covenants 132:49 “For I am the Lord thy God, and will be with thee even unto the end of the world, and through all eternity; for verily I seal upon you your exaltation, and prepare a throne for you in the kingdom of my Father, with Abraham your father.”
Now can you just imagine anything in the Bible remotely suggesting such a thing?
Who is God?
Who’s the King?
Is it Joseph or Jesus?
Ask a Mormon who they think their god will be in heaven and be sure to let them know you’re praying for them!

[…] There’s a Throne in Heaven for Joseph Smith […]
Makes me weep.
Me too. I can’t help but wonder why their scriptures don’t stop them in their tracks. I’ve always cited what Paul said –
Eph. 6:12 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”.
But sigh…it’s hard at times to keep that in mind and this was especially true after speaking with my mother today…
I dont think Smith will be in heaven. Prayers for all Mormons.
