The Lord warned of a time when “every man walketh in his own way, and after the image of his own god.” Without apostles and prophets, our perception of Christ gradually becomes whatever we want Him to be. Our understanding of doctrine shifts. … As we bind ourselves to Him through covenant and follow His living prophet, we walk the one path that leads us safely home.” — Brian J. Holmes [emp. added]

The theme of Mr. Holmes’ talk was to tell LDS members they had to follow the prophet and in fact he reiterated this seven times. He must have missed what it says in Hebrews…One noteworthy thing he said was a warning of what happens when they don’t follow the rules —
“Without apostles and prophets, our perception of Christ gradually becomes whatever we want Him to be. Our understanding of doctrine shifts. Our commitment to standards erodes. Unity dissolves.”
He’s right. When you don’t trust the Bible and what God has said through His prophets and apostles your beliefs about Jesus become who the false prophets say he is. You’ll believe Jesus isn’t God like Joseph Smith said and that Jesus was created through a sexual union between the Mormon god and Mary.
Pray for Mormons to open their bibles where they can discover the real Jesus!
