Talk #1 —
Do Your Best, Christ Makes Up the Difference
General Conference, ‘Come Home’, April 2026 “…you don’t have to be perfect to be in this Church. You just have to do your best, and Christ will make up the difference. …
…Overcoming their concerns was not an issue of resolving every faith question but of helping them recognize the Holy Ghost. …When we fall short, He repairs the breaches in our lives.” — Elder Clark G. Gilbert
_____
Mr. Gilbert is wrong.
Attempting to work for your salvation means you don’t trust Jesus enough to provide salvation.
Mr. Gilbert said ‘Do your best, Christ makes up the difference’. He’s wrong on that as well. True believers understand that doing your best means nothing. We need a Savior that can reconcile us to God. The way this is done is by confessing you’re a sinner that’s in need of a Savior.
God is too pure and holy to be in the presence of sin so He purifies us through the spilt blood of His Son Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:1, 5 —
“1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins 5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved”.

BTW, we will always fall short.
Please pray for Mr. Gilbert and all involved!

Talk #2 —
General Conference, ’Follow the Prophet; He Knows the Way’, April 2026 “I am grateful for teachings received over the years that have helped me better follow the Savior. …
Although our family was still not perfect, we had come a long way. This experience taught me that embracing gospel culture simply meant keeping our covenants. …
It is interesting to me that some people would think that God’s prophets live in the past and are not attuned to the times. Everything I know of prophets is the opposite. They actually see into the future as watchmen on a tower.… I testify that we are led today by a living prophet, President Dallin H. Oaks. … when we follow their teachings and examples, we are following our Savior, Jesus Christ. …” — Elder Michael John U. Teh
_____
Mr. Teh’s talk was a classic example of cult behavior. There was nothing in his talk that indicated he was following Jesus. It’s obvious the only thing he follows is the prophet.
In Christianity there’s no such thing as a ‘gospel culture’. Being a Christian means you have a personal relationship with Jesus and follow Him.
Matthew 4:19 “And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
This man’s talk was absolutely heartbreaking. Please pray for Jesus to send a Christian into his life and tell him the truth!
