Adoration for Deity not Needed
Psalm 95:3-6; “For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods. 4 In his hand are the deep places of the earth: the strength of the hills is his also. 5 The sea is his, and he made it: and his hands formed the dry land. 6 O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker.”
We’ll forego the topic that a man of God would use the word Humanist and Jesus in the same sentence as if to compare the two…sigh…
Let’s look at the bigger picture here.
Jesus wasn’t man-centered. Jesus’ focus and whole purpose for life was His adoration and focus upon God the Father.
God was not a person, rather a spirit as Jesus told the Samaritan woman in John 4:24.
God doesn’t need anything, let alone your adoration, however God commands us to worship Him exclusively. To believe it’s good enough to watch out for your fellow man is a lie and mimics the same sort of behavior we see all around us in society today; if I’m a good person I go to heaven.
Nothing could be more wrong.
