Thought of the Day about Mormonism and Jesus as the Only Begotten
Are We the Literal Spirit Children of God?
Alma 5:48; “I say unto you, that I know of myself that whatsoever I shall say unto you, concerning that which is to come, is true; and I say unto you, that I know that Jesus Christ shall come, yea, the Son, the Only Begotten of the Father…”
Perhaps the lesson to be learned in all of Joseph Smith’s contradictions and lies is that he can’t be trusted about anything – ever.
The best thing to do is always rely upon the Lord for truth in His word and this example is case in point. How can we be adopted by God while being the literal sons and daughters of God?
More importantly why does the Church use the phrase “Only Begotten” when referring to Jesus when in fact he can’t be? Lucifer is Jesus’ younger brother who also presented a method of salvation (Abraham 3:27-4:1).
The next time you see an ad on television or the sides of a bus with the Church touting their belief in Jesus you can rest assure they’re not telling you the truth! The Jesus of the Bible isn’t the brother of Lucifer, nor is He your elder spirit brother.
Furthermore, why does the Book of Mormon say Jesus is the Only Begotten, except to be used as a ruse to pull the unknowing in and trick them with the lies of Satan?
