How was Earth Created?

Jacob 4:9; “For behold, by the power of his word man came upon the face of the earth, which earth was created by the power of his word. Wherefore, if God being able to speak and the world was, and to speak and man was created, O then, why not able to command the earth, or the workmanship of his hands upon the face of it, according to his will and pleasure?”

Teachings of the prophet Joseph Smith, p. 350; “Now I ask all who will hear me, why the learned men who are preaching salvation, say that God created the heavens and earth out of nothing? The reason is, that they are unlearned in the things of God…Now, the word create came from the word “bara”, which does not mean to create out of nothing; it means to organize…God never had the power to create the spirit of man at all.”

Genesis 1:1; “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

John 1:1-3; “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”

Colossians 1:15-16; “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.”

In scripture we see that God created the earth out of nothing.

Where in the Bible does it say God only organized elements to “create” the earth? Are there any other scriptures verifying this?

Which of Joseph Smith’s prophecies do you believe? If you say the one from the BoM then Joseph’s theory is wrong. If you say you believe Joseph’s theory then the Bom is correct.

And all that brings us to what God said. So again, which account do you believe? God’s or Joseph’s two contradictory revelations?
