False Prophecies of Mormonism Jesus’ Shortcomings

New Testament Student Manual, pg 24; “Without a doubt, Jesus came into the world subject to the same condition as was required of each of us—he forgot everything, and he had to grow from grace to grace. His forgetting, or having his former knowledge taken away, would be requisite just as it is in the case of each of us, to complete the present temporal existence.” (Doctrines of Salvation, 1:33)”

1 Timothy 1:17; “Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Strong’s Concordance defines the word immortal as incorruptible, uncorruptible, uncorrupted, not liable to corruption or decay, imperishable, immortal of the risen dead.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines immortal as not being subject to death, not to be forgotten and everlasting.

If Jesus is immortal and incorruptible then how could He have forgotten what He knew before coming here to earth?

The other problem in this false prophecy is the idea that men pre-existed before we came into existence here on earth. Paul tells us that first we’re created physically and then spiritually.

1 Cor 15:44, 46-47; “It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.”

Jesus subjected Himself to earthly conditions of being thirsty, hungry, tired, etc, but make no mistake my friend, while He was here walking this earth He was fully God while being fully man.  He didn’t forget anything and proof of His power is seen not only in the numerous miracles He performed but also in the Garden of Gethsemane when He told Peter to put up his sword because He could have 12 legions of angels there to protect Him – Matthew 26:53.

Jesus had no shortcomings, nor was He subject to the everyday circumstances you and I are because we’re created and not immortal as He is!
