False Prophecies of Mormonism Salvation Only Through Obedience

Improvement Era Nov. 1965, p. 962; “Our Eternal Father would have every soul saved if that were feasible. Salvation, however, is based on merit and obedience to divine law and therefore is only obtained through compliance with divine commandments.” – Joseph Fielding Smith

Ephesians 2:8-9; “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

John 3:16; “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

The Bible never said God would want everyone saved if it were feasible!  It says God sent His Son to save people! 

If salvation was dependent upon our good behavior heaven would be a lonely place indeed.
