Mormon Dilemma 884 Nephites Lived in Chile

Journal of Discourses 12:342; “After the destruction of the Jaredites, the Lord brought two other colonies to people this land. One colony landed a few hundred miles north of the Isthmus on the western coast; the other landed on the coast of Chili, upwards of two thousand miles south of them. The latter were called the Nephites and Lamanites. It was some four or five centuries after these two colonies came from Jerusalem and occupied the country before they amalgamated. A little over one century before Christ the Nephites united with the Zarahemlaites in the northern portions of South America, and were called Nephites and became a powerful nation.” – Orson Pratt, Salt Lake City, December 27, 1868

Proverbs 29:12; “If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.”

So if the Nephites lived in Chile then I have a couple of thoughts… 

We just talked about Hill Cumorah earlier this year by looking at the probabilities of both the Nephites and Jaredits all fitting upon that infamous little hill in upstate New York. It’s physically impossible that millions of people could fit on this hill all at one time during a battle.  False Prophecies of Mormonism – Jaredites on Hill Cumorah

The question I have is simple. Were they in Chile or upstate New York?  Man isn’t omnipresent so it’s either one or the other, but not both. 

This whole story would be funny if it didn’t hold a tragic end for those who believe it. The Proverb today should give pause to those who propagate and believe the the lies of Mormonism. Everyone will be held accountable.
