Rights and Powers of Mormon Priesthood

General Conference, April 2015, “Priesthood and Personal Prayer”; “With your acceptance of the priesthood, you received the right to speak and to act in the name of God.

That right will only become a reality as you receive inspiration from God. Only then will you be able to speak in His name. And only then can you act in His name…All of us must speak and act in the name of God in moments where our unaided judgment will not be enough without inspiration. Those moments can come upon us where there is not time to make preparation. …

So you will pray for the way to know their hearts, to know what things are amiss in the lives and the hearts of people you don’t know well. You will need to know what God would have you do to help them and to do it all as nearly as you can, feeling God’s love for them.” – President Henry B. Eyring, First Counselor in the First Presidency

Hebrews 7:24-25, 8:6; “But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.”

Psalm 110:4; “The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.”

Regardless of what God’s word says, the LDS Church claims they are sole custodians of His priesthood. Through the rewrapping, rewording, and repeated public denouncements of God, they continue the charade.

The Mormon priesthood is priestcraft which God clearly condemns throughout His holy word. Furthermore, neither they, nor anyone else on earth, can hold the priesthood Christ Jesus does. We see proof of this in the powerful scriptures listed above.

When the Church says they received the ‘right to speak for God’ and to ‘act for God’, they’ve done nothing more than lie to their members, and everyone else for that matter.

Everyone who believes in the Jesus of the Bible has the right and authority to speak in God’s name because Jesus commissioned all believers to go out and make disciples of men (Mt 28:18-20). In addition to this LDS nonsense, Mr. Eyring told these people to pray so they would know the hearts of people. The Bible tells us God is the only One who knows what is in the heart of man. Luke 11:17, 16:15, Jeremiah 17:10, 1 Samuel 16:7, Matthew 12:25…

Lastly, why?

Why do they claim these things and use biblical scripture to back up their claims when they don’t believe what the Bible says?
