Witnessing Tip of the Day December 13

The Messiah would be God. Zechariah 11:10-11b; “And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people. 11 … and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.”

John 14:7; “If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.”

The Messiah would be God … Only God can decide if He’s going to remove protection from His children and break a covenant He’s made with them. We can refuse Him, but that’s not breaking a covenant. He’s the One that saves, not us. According to Heber Kimball and other leaders of Mormonism, this isn’t the case. They teach that if you don’t accept Joseph Smith and Brigham Young as gods, then salvation isn’t yours.
