Adam was a Christian

Prophets and Priesthood in the Old Testament “Adam was earth’s first Christian. He was baptized, confirmed, born of the Spirit, quickened in the inner man, ordained, and received into the holy order of God (see Moses 6:64–68). “The priesthood was first given to Adam; he obtained the First Presidency, and held the keys of it from generation to generation.”” – Robert L. Millet

Acts 11:26 “…And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.”

This erroneous LDS teaching serves as a great segue for conversations with the Mormon you know!

Lovingly ask for their opinion on this. Mr. Millet is a beloved BYU professor and highly respected author of many topics in Mormon doctrinal issues. How could Adam be a Christian before Jesus was born? And why does it use the same words in the Bible that contradicts God’s word?
