Alive in Christ, The Miracle of Spiritual Rebirth, p. 140; “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is absolutely indispensable to our salvation
. No supposed personal relationship with Jesus, no commitment to the gospel, no high level of Christian conduct in society can compensate for what is to be found in the Church.” – Robert Millet, 1997
Acts 4:12; “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”
How much of God’s holy word will the Mormon Church have to rewrite so it’ll be compatible with Joe Smith’s lies?
What percentage of changes to the Bible will Mormons see as acceptable before they begin questioning why?
Who ‘mistranslated’ the Bible? See Articles of Faith 1:8
Where in the Bible does it say the Mormon Church is the ‘only true church on the face of the earth’? Where did the Mormon Church receive its authority to make such claims? See D&C 1:30
If Mormons are so adamant all of Christianity is the whore of Babylon (1 Nephi 14:10), why are Christians trying to buddy-up with them as of late, to fight the latest social ilk’s of the day, and vice versa?
Mr. Millet’s statement sounds very familiar. Bruce McConkie (LDS apostle) said the same thing in a speech back in March 1982 at BYU when he said thinking that a personal relationship with Jesus isn’t true, and can only be from Satan.
“There are yet others who have an excessive zeal that causes them to go beyond the mark. Their desire for excellence is inordinate. In an effort to be truer than true they devote themselves to gaining a special, personal relationship with Christ that is both improper and perilous.”
See more of his speech here. If you’re LDS, would you tell Jesus that His name alone can’t save you?
1 John 5:13 says the Bible was written for us to know and believe on the name of Christ. What do we do with this verse if the LDS teaching above is correct?
Furthermore, the apostle Paul said if we’re to live in the Spirit, we must walk in the Spirit. Galatians 5:25
How do we do this when Mormonism states you must walk according to their edicts?
The Bible also states the fullness of God is in Jesus (Col. 2:9), so what was Jesus lacking to mandate we must be members of Mormonism?
