October 18 –– Quest for Godhood Status Galatians 4:4-7a “But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, 5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. 6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. 7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son…”

God has made it pretty clear we weren’t sired by God, rather, believers are adopted of God to become sons. We’ll never have all His attributes, but with help through His Holy Spirit residing inside of us, we do try to live godly lives by following His precepts. Believing we can become just like God is idolatry. Pray for those who believe they can live up to the false standards Mr. Ashton fallaciously told.
