2 Timothy 3:14-17 “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
Mr. Holland’s insight is ill-advised. He obviously used part of the Bible to twist the meaning of how Christians are to wait on the Lord. He knows all too well there was no evidence to be found validating the BoM.
Furthermore, Mormon doctrines have always contradicted themselves making it impossible for members to reconcile. If they’re to wait around for something to be resolved, they’ll be sorely disappointed.
His statement, ‘this is a divine work in progress’ is our clue it’s not from the Lord God of the Bible!
I was just studying the effects of baptism and was reminded of what it says in Hebrews 10:10 — “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Oh beloved, the Mormon gospel can’t be from the Lord based on what it says in Hebrews! Be sure to pray for the dear Mormon people who believe there’s still more to be revealed and share His word with them!
With Love in Christ;
