September 30 –– The Crucifixion is the Atonement! Ephesians 4:14 “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive”.

A noted feature in Mormonism is their use of the word ‘atonement’. It’s often used with no qualifiers either before or after, it’s used. The way they use it reminds me of people who don’t believe in Jesus, yet don large crosses as a fashion statement.
Today you’ll see that it’s used in a redundant manner.
Lovingly explain to a Mormon why the meaning of atonement and crucifixion in the reference below, is the same thing.

“The Crucifixion, Atonement, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ mark the beginning of a Christian life, not the end of it.” ~ Jeffrey R. Holland, “The First Great Commandment“, Liahona and Ensign, November 2012
[…] The Crucifixion is the Atonement! […]

We’ll said Michelle…I think Elder Holland confirmed this at General Conference this weekend.
Another word they throw around and misuse a lot is gospel.

How I pray they’d see the problem! And yes, Holland addressed this in his conference talk you can read our rebuttal to his statement Conference Quote: Why Mormons Don’t Use the Cross https://lifeafterministry.com/2022/10/conference-quote-why-mormons-dont-use-the-cross/
