King David wrote Psalm 31:13 while in the throes of many troubles. His life was a constant briefing of the latest threats against his life, and being made aware of those who had it out for him. This will add another reason why they can trust the Bible, which goes to disprove the theory it’s unreliable, or that the only safe way to know God’s will is by means of their prophets.

Carol F. McConkie – Prophets Ordained with Power to Save – General Conference, ‘Live According to the Words of the Prophets,’ October 2014 “Our Father in Heaven loves all of His children and desires that they know and understand His plan of happiness. Therefore, He calls prophets, those who have been ordained with power and authority to act in God’s name for the salvation of His children…”
