2 Chronicles 7:14; “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

general-conference-womens-session-line-temple-sept2016 I learned years ago the God of the Bible answers prayers. I first learned this while sitting in a prayer meeting a pastor of mine used to hold on Thursday nights at 7:14 p.m. He based it on 2 Chronicles 7:14, and gave examples of how God had answered not only prayers for the salvation of his loved ones, but prayers of others in the congregation as well.

It was at that time I began applying the same scripture to this ministry.

flowers-cartoon-8During the month of November the Ensign takes a break from publishing their regular Visiting Teaching message, and suggests the visiting teachers use one of the General Conference talks as their message for this month.

So with that in mind I’ve chosen to use Carol F. McConkie’s talk titled “Living according to the Words of the Prophets”.
