General Conference, ‘Return and Receive’, April 2017 “He [Satan] uses loud voices—voices that seek to drown out the small and still voice of the Holy Spirit that can show us “all things” we should do to return and receive.

These voices belong to those who disregard gospel truth and who use the internet, social and print media, radio, television, and movies to present in an enticing way immorality…

These voices may also include well-intentioned individuals who are blinded by the secular philosophies of men and women and who seek to destroy the faith and divert the eternal focus of those who are simply trying to return to the presence of God…” — M. Russell Ballard (more…)

General Conference, ‘Trust in the Lord and Lean Not,’ April 2017 “Remember, in our premortal life we stood with the Savior. We trusted Him. Come to think of it…I’ve never hear anyone go into detail about it at any of their conferences, and here they have the perfect platform from which to declare the news of what happened 2,000 years ago. It is the ‘Easter Season’ after all!

Hebrews 1:1-2 “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, 2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”.

If you visited the front page of the LDS website earlier this week. you couldn’t have missed the obvious. The Church has brought new meaning to ‘Follow the Prophets’ with their latest in-house ad campaign.

The upper left corner shows a picture of an elderly man (Thomas Monson) who looks like he couldn’t harm a fly. On the bottom right is another seemingly innocuous image; this time it’s someone holding a smart-phone.

Today we’re grabbing a few of the memorable things from the LDS Blog who reported on what Mr. Monson had to say so we can compare them with God’s word!

Before we begin, special note should be taken of the image above. I downloaded this from the LDS Blog’s website and couldn’t help but notice the description in its caption…
