Priesthood of God

February 25 – Priesthood of God. “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God;  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even death of the cross.” Phil. 2:5-6, 8.

There are actually many subjects to notice with this verse. Explain the word “robbery” to the Mormon. In the Greek, it means “grasped”. Another subject is the belief that Jesus had to perform, or work, to receive His salvation.

Why would the Lord God need to perform works for salvation, when He’s the author of our faith? Hebrews 12:2

The last issue here is priesthood. The only one holding the priesthood on this side of the cross is Christ Jesus. Hebrews 7:24
