Mormons Break 2nd Commandment to Worship Graven Image of ‘Christ’

Newsroom, ‘The Church’s New Symbol Emphasizes the Centrality of the Savior’ April 4, 2020

“President Nelson said this new symbol is a continuation of the effort he felt inspired to initiate in August 2018 to focus on the Church’s divinely revealed name. …

This new emblem emphasizes the name of Jesus Christ and His central role in all the Church does. The name of the Church is contained within a rectangular shape that represents a cornerstone. This idea has biblical roots…”

Exodus 20:4 “Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth”.

I honestly would have given nothing but an eye-roll to the latest LDS announcement had it not been for what a pastor said in my latest Bible study.

The pastor pointed out how the Israelite’s behavior went from sinful, to outright rejection of the Lord. The one thing they made sure was visible to everyone was the presence of religious icons. This turned into a major source of revenue when they began manufacturing various statues of false gods made from iron in the region. See Judges 10:6.

Not only had they broken the 1st Commandment, now they were in violation of breaking the 2nd one as well.

It’s like their behavior is on replay in the 21st century with Mormons filling in as the modern day rebels. The LDS self-proclaimed prophet is leading members down a road destined for disaster.

The religious icons are merely a show they’re putting on just as the Israelites did at the time of Judges.

Pray for these dear people to open their hearts to Jesus, and what He’s already revealed!

With Love in Christ;

Michelle
