God’s Promise of a Savior Fulfilled Through Jesus, not Joseph Smith

December 11 — God’s Promise of a Savior Fulfilled Through Jesus, not Joseph Smith. Psalm 132:11 “The LORD hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.”

Acts 13:21-23 “And afterward they desired a king: and God gave unto them Saul the son of Cis, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, by the space of forty years. 22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will. 23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to his promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus”.

Here’s another promise our Lord God fulfilled! In a day where it seems the world has gone mad, we can rest. A few moments of thinking upon what our Father has provided outside of the chaos, we find God kept His promise. Psalm 132 was probably written by King David, who lived c.1035 – 970 BCE. See Bible Timeline.

The Lord gave specific things to look for, and we see the fulfillment in the life of Jesus, and statements made by His apostles.

With this in mind, we can know with 100% certainty the role of Savior was not filled by Joe Smith, regardless of what he, or the Church has claimed.

Joseph Smith: The Choice Seer, Epilogue; “Because of Joseph Smith, we have a hope born of the Spirit and strengthened by prophetic declaration…. Ours is the song of praise to the man ordained from eternity past to part the veil and open the heavens, for through him the fulness of truth and the fulness of priesthood powers have come to earth again.” – Neal Maxwell
