LDS: Church Membership isn’t Comforting

March 8 – Church Membership isn’t Comforting Romans 12:5; “So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.”

_____

After Jesus was resurrected, His work carried on through the bodies of those whom He saved. In this manner, God’s love is clearly seen and experienced by those who come into contact with a Christian, aka, the body of Christ. This phrase is missing in the vocabulary of Mormonism, which is a true indicator of how they view themselves. As such, Christians should take heed! I had never heard of this phrase [body of Christ] until after I became a Christian – yikes! Ask your Mormon friend/loved one why they don’t believe they’re members in the body of Christ. Also note what their prophet said. Membership in the LDS Church isn’t a cloak of comfort. This is very, very sad my friends.

The Savior’s Call to Serve” “The mantle of membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not a cloak of comfort but rather a robe of responsibility. Our duty, in addition to saving ourselves, is to guide others to the celestial kingdom of God.” — Thomas S. Monson
